part a:

part b:

patronage2 – 1: 09/19/09- constructed august 08:

a quick note on set #1:  I have been in the hospital for the last week.  It was horrible, I had an unidentified aggressive infection and an anaphylactic response to all the antibiotics (head to to and internal hives), home now, but didn’t really have time to put together a set (oh yeah, my computer got stolen from my room for 36 hours when they wheeled me out to surgery). It’s all better now, but this mix was put together in August 08.  full disclosure.

RE: season 2;  I have switched to a monthly schedule so that I don’t go insane, rad as season one was, it’s hard to come up with an hour plus set every week after the first few so this way I can really pack in some serious on the monthly.

wtnr radio tryouts set

Yo, I tried out for this wtnrradio last night with this little piece. There was a lot of venue/switch-up wierdness so my 1 hour slot stretched to 2. This is the first half and you might notice Busta sounds a little off at the end; the last song dropped to 40bpm on output, I don’t know why. Whatever, it sounds cool…

Obvious Mix

Just so if I send folks to this page and they hear all this weird stuff, yes, I can spin a party and keep it all top 40 dancey and shit.

Water Set 12/17/08

I held it down weekly at Water, in Oakland, CA.  I would play any number of things there, but usually the sets would start out like this and turn into dance party tunes by the end.  You only ever get a piece because the sets were so long that I couldn’t post them if I wanted to. But I thought this one was rad and I put it on occasionally so now you can too.

I love all the bands on this set so here’s my shout out:

stone roses, arthur russel, chromatics, quiet village, brian eno, stew lane, shellac, the feelies, the gist, talking heads, sparks, spanky wilson, the clash, john cale, lyn christopher, rolling stones…

Excerpt from a sushi party

This was a mix that I pulled from a party I played at the muse in oakland.  I was sick and high on a combination of sudafed and homebrew; which is how I would suggest you listen to it….
